Ivailo is the co-founder of The Beat. A former World Vice-Champion in Latin American showdance, Ivailo has always had a great passion for ballroom dancing.

After retiring from competitive dance Ivailo had the opportunity to further widen his horizons into the dance and fitness industries.

Ivailo is World Dance Council licensed adjudicator, Group Fitness Instructor and a professional dance teacher.

A loving father of two beautiful girls, Ivailo is always going to greet you with a smile and welcome you into the beautiful world of dance and fitness!

ALYONA ZARNITSYA

Studio Co-Founder + Managing Director

Alyona is the co-founder of The Beat. The skills acquired through her dance career as a top ranked Latin-American competitor and further enhanced through teaching and adjudicating are the fundamentals for the profound understanding of dance in its diverse forms.

Alongside with dance, fitness has always played an integral part in Alyona's life.

Following a successful dance career,  Alyona has become a proud mom of two girls, all while turning her passion for dance and fitness into a flourishing business that now spreads over four studios in two locations!

Arlyn started her fitness journey back in 2003. She has been evolving ever since in all aspects of fitness and health, acquiring knowledge and expertise allowing her clients achieve their goals every day!

GILLIAN HADLEY

Group Fitness 

Gillian started in the fitness industry in 2000 working in the University of Glasgow as a fitness instructor and exercise specialist. In 2003 Gillian relocated to Hong Kong as a teacher of Physical Education and has been motivating and inspiring young students to live an active and healthy lifestyle and to value the benefits of physical activity and exercise.

 

As a qualified instructor of Les Mills Bodypump, Grit, RPM, Gillian is excited to offer safe, fun and friendly classes to help adults begin or return to their fitness journey.

JACQUELINE BROWNHILL

Group Fitness 

Cardio training led Jacqueline to run four marathons in Asia and even win a couple of trophies for running road races. After being a regular participant in Les Mills Group Exercise classes for the best part of a decade, Jacqueline decided to enroll in training for RPM and Body Pump to share her love for the classes, and for fitness in general, with others. 

Jacqueline believes that exercise is beneficial for everyone, not only for the body but also for the mind. If anything gives you a strong mental state, it’s pushing through week after week of marathon training, or driving your heart rate high during an RPM class. Jacqueline offers encouragement in her classes to get you pushing hard, along with a welcoming, genuine smile.

LAUREN HOMER

Pilates + Dance

Lauren began dancing at the age of three, training in classical ballet, contemporary, lyrical and jazz.  She danced professionally for a number of years before becoming a manager and teacher across three studios for Fitness First Australia.

 

Throughout her years of dance training, Pilates was an essential strengthening technique, one that she grew a strong love for and has since trained to become an instructor herself.

 

As a mother of two young children, Lauren understands the benefits of building a strong core and fitness foundation through the pilates method.

HANNAH FAIRBURN

Pilates 

As an active person and keen sportswoman from a young age Hannah has always maintained individual fitness and trained for endurance events completing marathons in New York and Berlin and half-marathons in Paris and London.

Hannah is a practising lawyer and reformer Pilates was a means for her to build strength and as injury prevention in a dynamic workout that started as an interest and became a passion. 

As a busy working mum to two energetic boys Hannah values the benefits of the Pilates reformer method including physical fitness, strength, flexibility and posture.  In 2020 she chose to develop her reformer practice and to train as a reformer instructor with Polestar Pilates.

JOHN BOARDMAN

Personal Training

John is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and ACE (American Council on Exercise) certified personal trainer with extensive experience in the fitness industry. He works one on one to find out the individual needs and goals of his clients and prepare a tailor-made program regime that best suits their current physical level, helping them achieve the fitness goals that have been set.

 

Clients with past or existing injuries will certainly benefit from a wide range of specialised exercises that John incorporates in his training. links, or connect data from your collection.

JEREMY FERMIN

Personal Training

Jeremy's interest in health and fitness started when he was in high school playing sports, Rugby and Boxing specifically. He was dedicated to improving himself physically, with a  strong commitment and dedication  to continuous learning. 

 

Jeremy's inspiration for helping others with their fitness came from his own transformation and he now  helps others  achieve their  goals through personal  training and boxing.
