Forget fast-paced ashtanga or sweaty Bikram – slow, simple yin yoga is the class to choose if you want to calm the mind and stretch the body. Just make sure you wear some warm clothes.
A Yin class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses which mainly work the lower part of the body targeting hips, pelvis, inner thighs & lower spine. These areas are especially rich in connective tissue and holding the pose for 3-5mins we gently stretch & stress the connective tissue making your body a little longer and stronger.
