WHAT IS BARRE?
LOW IMPACT, YET CHALLENGING!
During a BARRE class, you will do a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements.
The class incorporates various props to bring the burn during all those reps, as well as gliding discs for targeted core work.
Barre fitness is ideal if you are just getting into exercise;
The classes will improve your balance, build strength, make you more flexible, burn calories, and improve stability through a stronger core;
As you get more comfortable and fit, you can ramp up the intensity by adding more challenging moves.
